Spinach and Onion Popeye Salad

cookpad.japan
cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp

The combination of French dressing with fried garlic chips and grated cheese gave a Caesar salad-like taste, so I thought it would go well with spinach.
I revised the recipe to 1 serving amount of dressing.

When you combine the fried garlic chips and grated cheese with the dressing, you'll get a Caesar salad taste. Top the salad with crispy bacon or smoked salmon for variety.
New spinach varieties are not too bitter and taste great raw. This salad is delicious with rucola, so add some to taste. Recipe by Mimato

Steps

  1. 1

Rinse the spinach, soak in water for 5 minutes to remove the bitterness, then chop into 4 - 5 cm lengths. Thinly slice the onion, lightly rinse, and drain.

  2. 2

Combine the dressing ingredients. (The photo shows 5 times the amount of ingredients combined in a lidded, non-leaking container. When shaken, the liquid should be cloudy.)
