Carrot Potage

I don't like soup with the strong taste of soup stock, so I came up with a recipe that highlights the flavour of the vegetables.
It will thicken after a day or two, so add water if necessary. Recipe by Setsubunhijiki

Steps
- 1
Thinly slice the carrot and onion.
- 2
Heat butter and vegetable oil in a pan, and slowly fry the carrot and onion, making sure they don't burn.
- 3
Add the water, soup stock granules, salt and pepper, and cover with a lid. Simmer for around 15 minutes to soften the vegetables.
- 4
Whirl in a blender, then add milk, and bring to the boil to finish.
