Beef in Aromatic Chilli Sauce

This looks spicy but not really (for me) this is so good, really aromatic from the spices that we use and the spice penetrates through the beef. So good!

This looks spicy but not really (for me) this is so good, really aromatic from the spices that we use and the spice penetrates through the beef. So good!

Steps
- 1
First of all you want to boil the beef and make them soft so they are easier to bite, after that, take them out of the pan, let them rest and then hit the beef pieces (is it the right word tho?) To soften them even more.
- 2
Heat the oil in a frying pan.
- 3
Add the garlic cloves first. Stir until fragrant.
- 4
Then add the shallots. Repeat until the shallots releases ita aroma.
- 5
Add the chillies, stir fry again. Then add gallangal, lemongrass, Indonesian basil leaves, kaffir lime leaves and birdeye chillies. Stir until they give out fragrant smell.
- 6
Add the beef, add some water and simmer until the beef softens even more.
- 7
Then add the tomato and green onions. Stir again.
- 8
Add the seasonings and do the taste test. If everything is good and beef has softened you can take them out of the pan and serve.

Yum!
