Ingredients

  1. 300 gramsWhite fish (filet)
  2. 6Manila clams (optional)
  3. 1/2Onion
  4. 1 cloveGarlic
  5. 1Red chili pepper (optional)
  6. 1Olive oil
  7. 2 tbspCooking sake
  8. 1 can★Canned diced tomatoes
  9. 200 ml★Water
  10. 2 tbsp★Ketchup
  11. 1 tsp★Sugar
  12. 2 pinch★Dried mixed herbs
  13. 1Salt

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the fish into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle with salt. Thinly slice the onion and garlic. ( I used Pacific Ocean Perch filets)

  2. 2

Heat olive oil in a frying pan and add the red chili pepper and garlic. Cook on low heat until the garlic slightly browns. Remove the chili pepper.

  3. 3

Place the fish with the skin side down into the pan. Quickly fry it and then add the onions. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the sake and cook off the alcohol, then add the ★ ingredients.

  4. 4

Keep the heat on medium-low for 7-8 minutes to simmer while occasionally stirring. Season with salt to finish. Serve on a dish and enjoy.

  5. 5

This also tastes great as a pasta sauce.
