Ingredients

15-20 mins
4-5 people
  • 500 gmsPointed Gourd / Parwal
  • 3 tbspMustard Oil / Sarson ka tel
  • 1/2 tspCumin Seeds /Jeera
  • 1/2 tspAsafoetida / Hing powder
  • 1 tspCoriander Powder / Dhaniya Powder
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric / Haldi Powder
  • 1 tspMango Powder / Amchoor Powder
  • 1/2 tspRed chili powder
  • as per tastesalt
  • as requiredCoriander leaves

Steps

15-20 mins
  1. 1

    Wash the parwal snd Slice the parwal lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan and add cumin seeds. when cumin starts to crackle add asafoetida and turmeric powder.

  3. 3

    Ely add the parwal slices and add salt,saute for few seconds.

  4. 4

    Now cover the pan with a lid and cook on low heat.keep stirring in between

  5. 5

    When parwal become soft then add chili powder,coriander powder and mango powder and mix.

  6. 6

    Saute for 1-2 minutes on low heat so it become crisp.

  7. 7

    Lastly add coriander leaves (optional)

  8. 8

    Serve hot with daal chawal or chapati.
