This is a common Bengali sweet dish but it touches special flavour during Rathyatra celebration. It is also one of the 56 bhogas off ered to Lord Jagannath

Steps

Make a batter with flour, semolina, khoya, and 1/2 tsp fennel seeds. Add milk gradually to make a flowing batter. Keep aside for 30mins.

Meanwhile, make a sugar syrup of little thick consistency with water. Add cardamom seeds & saffron.

Heat oil & ghee together. Take a ladle full of batter. And make malpuas. Deep fry.

Dip each malpua in warm sugar syrup immediately after frying.

Serve with kheer as toppings.😍
