Prepare the stuffing by adding coconut, jaggery, poppy seeds, cardamom powder in a pan and fry it well till jaggery melts. Make the mixture cool.

Add 2 tsp oil, 1/4 tsp salt in 2 cups of water in a vessel and boil it well, add rice flour and mix it well and put off the gas and wait for 5 minutes. Keep it covered Now knead soft dough by kneading it with water.

Now take a small ball of kneaded dough and give a bowl shape to it. Then fold sides of it in petal shape and add the mixture of coconut and jaggery.Now bring all the petals together, just press gently, and your modak is ready now. Modak loojs like momo shape.

Similarly make remaining modaks.Now heat water in a vessel and keep a sieve on it and put the modaks on the sieve. Now ler the modak cook for 15 min. Ukadi Modak is ready.

Serve the modak with desi ghee and offer it to Ganpati Bappa.
