Kathiawadi style of Khichdi is very unique as a garlic red chilli paste is added which gives a distinctive flavour. I used Tuvar Dal, Urad Dal and Basmati Rice
Steps

For Garlic Red chilli paste - in a Haman dista add garlic cloves and Kashmiri red chilli and make a paste, set aside for further use

For Khichdi- In a pressure cooker add 3 cups water, add ghee, salt, turmeric powder, add washed soaked Tuvar Dal, washed soaked Urad Dal, washed Basmati Rice, cubed carrots, cubed potatoes, stir and put into pressure for 2 whistles, set aside

For Tadka - In a pan heat ghee, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, Hing, whole garam masala, bay leaf, whole red chillies and stir.

Add sliced onion and garlic red chilli paste and stir well. Add cumin - coriander powder. Stir

Add chopped green chillies, chopped tomatoes, green onions chopped and cover to soften the tomatoes.

Add prepared Khichdi and add salt. Be careful of how much you add as salt was added to Khichdi earlier. Add 1/2 cup water and stir well

Plate with Spring onion, Dahi, Papad and enjoy Kathiawadi Khichdi
