Juicy steak only 7 minutes in the air-fryer served on garlic rice. A bit of wasabi is the perfect companion or other spices depending on your preference.

Soak the rice at least 30 minutes (works for the japonica rice in Europe), but if you use real Japanese or any Asian rice, soak longer and rinse repeatedly.

Melt the butter in a pan and slowly cook the thinly sliced shallot, add thinly slice garlic. Don’t let it burn, reserve the crispy garlic.

Meanwhile, marinate the steak. And prepare the sauce (just quickly heat it on a saucepan).

15 minutes before the rice cooked, put the steak in the air fryer. Cook it 7 minutes at 200°C for medium (mine doesn’t need a preheat, so adjust accordingly). Flip it half way. And let it rest once it’s cooked.

Sauté the cooked rice with the shallot and minced garlic (from the second clove).

Slice the cooked steak thinly, pour the sauce and serve it on the bed of garlic rice and garnish with thinly slice spring onion or scallion and the crispy sliced garlic.
