Leftover daal chawal

An interesting and unique recipe using leftover cooked rice blended with leftover mixed daal. Leftover Daal Chawal, you can also call it Khichdi, can be prepared in a jiffy.

Khichdi is one of the ultimate comfort foods. You either love it or hate it. I love it! Khichdi usually tastes bland. But a well-made Khichdi is not only wholesome but also flavourful.

Our grannies and moms used to make khichdi whenever anyone had a stomach bug. It is also one of the first food for babies in the subcontinent.

This healthy, comforting and nourishing porridge-like Leftover Daal Chawal can be served with yogurt or raita.
