Steps

Soak daal for few hours.

Boil daal with salt and a pinch of turmeric till tender.

Heat oil in a pan.

Add in onion and fry till light golden.

Add in ginger,garlic,salt,turmeric and chilli powder and cook for few minutes.

Add in tomatoes and cook till they are tender.

Add in daal and fenugreek and cook for few minutes.

Add in garam masala,coriander,green chillies and ginger.

Serve hot.
