Sweet Semolina Appe are soft, spongy inside and crispy outside. Also easy to make for breakfast or snacks with tea or coffee.
Steps

Mix sugar and semolina in a bowl and add enough water to cover the semolina, the water should not float. Keep this mixture aside for 4 hours.

Soak the poha in a little water for a few minutes until it becomes soft.

After 4 hours take semolina mixture. Mash the soaked poha by hand and add it in semolina mixture. Add 2 tbsp ghee and chopped dry fruits.

If the mixture is thick, add little water and mix all the ingredients to get a Appe batter consistency.

Heat a paniyaram pan and grease the holes of the pan with a few drops of ghee. Then pour 1 tbsp of batter into each mold (depending on the size of the holes in the pan). Add some chopped dry fruits on top.

Cover and cook on low heat for 2 minutes or until the underside of the Appe is golden, then flip each Appe to the other side using a fork.

Cook on low flame until the other side is cooked or golden brown.

Serve and enjoy the Sweet Suji Appe.
