Ingredients

Serves 2-3 servings
  1. About 2 inches from a daikon, peeled and grated
  2. 1egg
  3. 2shiitake mushrooms
  4. About 5 sprigs of mitsuba (or green onions)
  5. 1 tablespoonsake
  6. 1 1/2 tablespoonschicken bouillon powder
  7. 1 dashsoy sauce
  8. 1 dashwhite pepper
  9. About 2 cups water (about 500 ml)

Cooking Instructions

    Bring water to a boil in a pot.
    - Shiitake mushrooms: Slice thinly and add to the water before it boils.
    - Mitsuba: Chop finely.
    - Egg: Beat well.

    Once the water is boiling, add the grated daikon. Add sake and chicken bouillon powder, and simmer for a while (low to medium heat).

    Add a dash of soy sauce, taste, and if it's good, add the mitsuba.
