Ingredients

Serves 1 serving
  • 2 teaspoons● sake (Japanese rice wine)
  • 1 tablespoon● mirin (sweet cooking rice wine)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons● soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups● dashi broth (about 360 ml)
  • 1 portionudon noodles
  • 1small piece aburaage (fried tofu pouch)
  • 1chicken tenderloin
  • 2taro roots
  • as neededEdamame,
  • 3frozen meatballs
  • 1egg

Steps

  1. 1

    Add all the ● ingredients to a small pot and bring to a boil.

  2. 2

    Once boiling, add the sliced chicken tenderloin and udon noodles. Gently separate the noodles as they heat.

  3. 3

    When the chicken is cooked through, add the aburaage, halved taro roots, meatballs, and edamame. Cook briefly until heated through.

  4. 4

    Make a small well in the center and crack in the egg.

  5. 5

    Cover and cook until the egg white is set. Enjoy!
