Bean Sprout and Pork Shabu Shabu Rolls: Easy Microwave Recipe

Crispy bean sprouts wrapped in pork belly. Enjoy this with shichimi pepper and ponzu sauce. Ginger is actually an essential accent! Bean sprouts are so convenient. The origin of this recipe: I often enjoyed the combination of pork and bean sprouts in shabu-shabu or tagine pots. But taking out the pot and washing it is a hassle, so I made it into an easy microwave dish, rolling them up one by one. It's easy to eat, and my family loves it! Plus, it's budget-friendly.

Ramen salad is available at many izakaya (Japanese gastropubs). I wanted to make it at home too! So I tried it at many restaurants, and experimented a lot to create an easy, one-plate recipe. I wanted to make hearty and filling onigiri that would be satisfying even when there aren't a lot of side dishes in the bento box.If you roll the meat wrapped rice balls around while the meat is uncooked it will fall off, so cook it one section at a time. When all sides are browned, it's ok to roll them around. If you clean the frying pan with paper towels once the meat is cooked before adding the flavoring ingredients, the rice balls won't burn so easily. Recipe by ss mama cookpad.japan -
