Steps

Overnight add roasted rice flour, yeast, sugar, egg and water to loosen the mixture in a mixer grinder and blend it well for a few seconds

Keep the mixture aside

Next day blend grated coconut, raw rice(pachari) and water enough to loosen the mixture in a mixer grinder, blend until the mixture is grinded well

Add the two mixture together in a mixer grinder and blend it for a few second, until it is homogenous

Add salt and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes

Heat the appam chatti (Appam pan). It will take around 3 minutes.

Pour a ladleful of batter and swirl the pan. It should be slightly thick in the centre, thin and lacy over the sides.

Cover and cook

Centre should be cooked and the sides should be slightly brown
- 10
Remove it with the help of a spatula.
