Karela Subzi (Bitter Gourd)

Once this Subzi was listed in totally non favourite but we became wise with time and started rotating all Subzis. Finally I started making this dish. It is still not everyone's favourite but all started to eat it. I'm not trying to remove bitterness of karela, just blending with other ingredients.

Remove karela skin slightly and chop it in round shape. Wash it. Take a pan. Add oil. Once oil is hot, add Asafoetida and turmeric. Add chopped bitter gourd.

Mix it well and cover the pan. Cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes. Open and add red chilli powder and salt. Mix it well. Cover and continue to cook till it is tender.

Open the lid and add gram flour. Mix it well. Sprinkle coriander leaves. Serve with roti. Try to enjoy your Karela (Bitter Gourd) subzi 😀
