Shrimp cocktail is delicious and you can make it in different ways. This is how we eat it at home and we love it.

First, wash the shrimp thoroughly, peel them, and remove the vein. Save the shells—we'll use them for the broth. In a pot with water, add one tomato and the piece of onion.

Add the garlic, cilantro, shrimp shells, and a little salt. Let it boil for 20 minutes.

Wash all the vegetables. Chop the vegetables as finely as possible so they're pleasant to eat.

After 20 minutes, strain the broth and return it to the pot. Bring it back to a boil, then add the shrimp just until they turn pink. Remove them and let them drain.

In a large bowl, add the chopped vegetables, ketchup, and habanero hot sauce (optional, or you can use another hot sauce). Add the diced avocado and lime juice. Then add some of the broth you made, adjust the seasoning, and enjoy your delicious shrimp cocktail.
