Steps

Take rinsed spiny gourd, cut to half and then in to vertical pieces.

Heat oil in a kadai, add caromseeds, chopped garlic, asafoetida and saute it well.

Add kantola saute it well, add salt and turmeric powder, mix it well.

Cover the lid and cook for 7 to 8 minutes on slow to medium flame.

Add red chilli powder, cumin coriander powder and mix it well, cook for 5 minutes.

Turn off the flame and take it on a serving plate, enjoy kantola sabji with roti or paratha.
