Ingredients

  1. For the Cupcakes
  2. 110 gbutter
  3. 225 gsugar
  4. 2free-range eggs
  5. 150 gself-raising flour​ sifted
  6. 125 gplain flour sifted
  7. 120 mlmilk
  8. 2-3 teaspoonsorange extract or juice
  9. 3oranges zested
  10. For the Icing
  11. 3 tablespoonsicing sugar
  12. 2oranges juiced
  13. 120 mlmilk
  14. 2-3 teaspoonsorange extract or juice
  15. 3oranges zested

Steps

25 mins 180°C
  1. 1

    Heat your oven to 180°C

  2. 2

    Cream the butter and sugar together in an electric​ mixer until light and smooth, before gradually pouring in the egg.

  3. 3

    Add both types of flour to your mixture and continue to mix until thoroughly​ combined.

  4. 4

    Pour both your milk, orange zest and orange extract into the mixture as well continuing to mix.

  5. 5

    Line a muffin tray with cases.

  6. 6

    Spoon your mixture into the cases making sure all amounts are even.

  7. 7

    Bake in your oven for 25 minutes checking regularly through the glass.

  8. 8

    Leave the cup cakes to cool on a wire cooling rack.

  9. 9

    To make the icing sugar, mix the icing sugar and juice in a bowl. Remember to gradually add the juice so you don't go too far.

    Drizzle your icing onto the cooled cupcake and...
