My Delicious Apple-Peach Compote Filled Donuts

My Delicious Apple-Peach Compote Filled Donuts
Steps
- 1
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the flour, milk, and butter. Mix everything together.
- 2
Add the baking powder, vanilla sugar, and salt. Mix again until combined.
- 3
Add the granulated sugar and then the two eggs, one at a time. You can beat the eggs before adding them if you prefer. Make sure the eggs are fully incorporated before shaping the dough.
- 4
Lightly flour your work surface, then place the dough on it. Knead the dough for about 5 to 10 minutes until it is smooth and no longer sticky.
- 5
Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch (5 mm) thick. Cut the dough into rectangles. Repeat until all the dough is used.
- 6
Heat a small amount of canola oil in a saucepan.
- 7
Add the donuts and fry for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until they puff up. You can brush a little oil on top of the donuts to help them cook evenly.
- 8
Let the donuts cool.
- 9
Fill a piping bag fitted with a plain tip with the apple-peach compote.
- 10
Use a knife to make a hole at one end of each donut.
- 11
Carefully fill each donut with the compote.
- 12
Set the donuts aside, then sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top if you like.
- 13
Enjoy your treat!
