Cooking Instructions
- 1
Add the chopped vegetables to a bowl. Then add gram flour (besan) and semolina (sooji), and pour water as needed to make a batter. The consistency of the batter should be like that of a pancake or dosa batter.
- 2
Now add all the spices and mix well.
- 3
Now take a slice of bread and spread the chilla batter on one side. Place a pan on the stove to heat. Once hot, grease it with a little oil and place the bread with the batter side facing down.
Grease the other side of the bread with oil as well.
- 4
Cook for about 2 minutes, then flip the bread. Cook the other side until it turns golden brown. Flip it once more and cook for another 1 minute.
- 5
Serve hot with green chutney, extra ketchup, or Mayonnaise.

Simple Microwave Steamed Bread with Yogurt & Pancake Mix Simple Microwave Steamed Bread with Yogurt & Pancake Mix
I thought of this after seeing fried bread on TV that used yogurt.Try to use a 700-800 ml microwaveable dish. If you separate the batter into cups or silicone molds, the batter may be shallow and harden upon cooking. Keep a close eye on the bread while you bake it. Recipe by melodine cookpad.japan -
Easy Baked Sandwich Bread Rusk in the Toaster Oven Easy Baked Sandwich Bread Rusk in the Toaster Oven
I made these because I had won some Rama Brand margarine.-Microwave the bread to evaporate the moisture. Microwave again if needed ♪ (This is important.)-Microwave for a bit longer if using a 6 slice loaf.-When spreading the margarine, wait until the bread has cooled. The sugar will stick better that way.-I usually spread chocolate on the pieces that didn't shape or brown nicely. Recipe by Sayao cookpad.japan -

Easy Rusk with Sandwich Bread in 5 Minutes Easy Rusk with Sandwich Bread in 5 Minutes
Rusks are so expensive when you buy them at bakery stores. I wanted to make them easily and in an inexpensive way, so I came up with my version by referencing a variety of recipes.I use 5-slice loaf (thickly sliced) bread for these rusks, split them in half down its side, and microwave at 600 W. Adjust the microwaving time according to the thickness of the bread, and model of microwave oven. The moisture in the bread might not evaporate completely or on the other hand, it might burn on you, so keep an eye on them.I think it will also be fun, to cut out the bread into shapes with your child. Rusk-style Bread Crusts Rusk-style Bread Crusts
I love 5 slice (2.4-cm thick) sandwich bread, but it's hard to divide among three people! When I baked these up, they were a big hit! Since we are big eaters, this recipe was created out of desperation!I'm envious of families where everyone eats only 1 slice of bread each. Just today, my son ate 3 slices plus these bread crusts.Every toaster oven is different, so adjust this to suit your oven; bake these to the point where you think they might have baked for a bit too long. Keep an eye on them or they'll burn! Recipe by Team yokin cookpad.japan -
