This anytime/ tea-time snack is deep fried to a beautiful golden brown but you can always air-fry or bake it in the oven for a healthier version. Namak para is a perfect snack when you want something crunchy and savory with the slight heat from Indian spices.

Namak para is a perfect snack when you want something crunchy and savory with the slight heat from Indian spices.

First of all, sift both the flours. Add all the spices as mention above and a little ghee/ oil to it and knead into a medium dough. Cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Now make large balls out of it and roll them into thick rotis. And cut it out Dimond shape/ namakpara with a cutter.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the namakpara on medium flame till it turns golden and crisp. Once all the para is fried, sprinkle chilli and black salt and mix.

Delicious,chatpata and spicy namakpara is ready. It can be served with tea in the morning or evening.
