Yakiniku Beef Soboro Rice Bowl

‘Soboro’ means crumbled meat in Japanese. Today I cooked Beef Mince into Soboro, and seasoned it with ‘Yakiniku’ (Japanese BBQ) Sauce. If you already have a bottle of Yakiniku Sauce, this rice bowl is super easy to cook, but I included a very simple Yakiniku Sauce recipe.

Steps
- 1
Combine all the ‘Yakiniku’ Sauce ingredients in a small bowl. *Note: You can use your favourite store-bought ‘Yakiniku’ Sauce.
- 2
Prepare Edamame. Thaw them completely if frozen, then add a small pinch Salt, mix well, and set aside. *Note: You can use Soy Sauce to season.
- 3
Whisk Egg in a small bowl, lightly season with Salt and White Pepper, and cook in a lightly oiled small frying pan into small pieces.
- 4
Half fill a bowl with warm Cooked Rice and arrange the Egg and Edamame on the Rice. Using the same frying pan, cook Beef Mince. When the Beef changed colour, add Yakiniku Sauce, and cook until the sauce is thickened. Arrange the Beef on top, and enjoy.
