Ingredients

  • 4shallots, thinly sliced
  • 1small head cabbage, shredded
  • 2 T.canola oil
  • to tastesalt & pepper
  • 4 T.butter
  • 1 1/2 poundsprepared spätzle
  • 1/2 t.ground paprika
  • 1/4 C.fresh parsely, chopped
  • 5 oz.shredded swiss cheese, preferably Emmentaler

  1. 1

    Fry the shallots in the canola oil in a large skillet until soft and translucent.

  2. 2

    Melt the butter in the skillet and then sauté the cabbage until tender, sprinkling generously with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Stir in the prepared späztle. Sprinkle evenly with cheese, paprika and parsley. Cover and cook until cheese melts, about 5-10 minutes. Serve.
