Located this online and I prefer no chili powder in my brisket rub so thought we'd give it a whirl. Had to tweak the recipe I located a bit and this was the end result. The Brisket bark was OUTSTANDING, it was definitely a keeper.

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 CupSweet Hungarian Paprika
  2. 1/3 Cupbrown sugar
  3. 3 TablespoonsGarlic Salt
  4. 3 TablespoonsOnion Powder
  5. 2 Tablespoonsdried Oregano

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix ingredients together thoroughly and generously coat and run into your brisket. We had a smallish brisket (about 4 pounds) and I only used about 1/3 of the mix. Smoke the brisket and shortly before done, wrap brisket in foil and continue smoking on lower heat for a hour or so.
