Lo tu kha (pork leg in soy sauce)
This is a traditional Chinese dish that almost every Chinese descendant has tried. I'm sharing my ancestors' recipe... hehhehe
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Clean the pork leg thoroughly.
- 2
Sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the pork leg, spices, and sauces. Stir briefly. Add water. Bring to a boil. Cover with a lid. Reduce the heat and cook for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- 3
If using a pressure cooker: After sautéing and boiling in the pan, transfer to the pressure cooker. Cook for about 20 minutes. Let it cool before opening. Don't cook too long in the pressure cooker to avoid it becoming too soft like porridge. The meat should still have texture.

#mycookbookI am a porridge ‘super’ big fan since I was a kid. My mom always cooked me plain porridge with different kinds of side dishes at least 2-3 times a month. This Sweet Soy Sauce Minced Pork is one of the ‘must’ menus every time she made porridge. It doesn’t use a lot of various ingredients but it’s very flavorful 😋😋😋 If you like my recipes, please follow my Instagram @jenscookingdiary for the Indonesian recipes or @jenscookdineandtravel for the English recipes 🙏🏻😊😘 jenscookingdiary -
Pork, Greens, Atsuage in Oyster Sauce Pork, Greens, Atsuage in Oyster Sauce
I usually have these ingredients in my refrigerator, so I make this dish often. It is a quick dish which can be a main dish, so it is perfect for a busy day. My husband loves it.-I made it with komatsuna this time. I used 4 stalks (about 1/2 a bag). You can also use bok choy or Chinese chives.-I used the bite-sized atsuage this time, so I just cut it into half thickness (about 1 cm thick). For 2 servings. Recipe by rose12 cookpad.japan -
