Ingredients

40mins maximum
3 serving
  1. 1 handfulpumpkin leaves (ugu leaves)
  2. Bitter garden egg (optional)
  3. 15medium sized fresh okra (chopped)
  4. to tasteSalt
  5. 2atarodo /Scotch bonnet (chopped)
  6. 1 tspfull daddawa /iru /ogiri powder
  7. Beef
  8. Little potash/akawn
  9. Smoked fish (deboned)
  10. 3stock cubes
  11. 1diced onion

Steps

40mins maximum
  1. 1

    In a mortar and pestle pound okra with potash lightly do not over pound.

  2. 2

    Wash and chop pumpkin leaves and allow to drain properly.

  3. 3

    Cook beef with stock cubes and salt to taste.

  4. 4

    Add iru/daddawa /ogiri powder into the meat and stir.

  5. 5

    Add atarodo with diced onions and keep cooking.

  6. 6

    When beef is properly cooked add okra stir and cook for 5mins.

  7. 7

    Add smoked fish, ugu leaves and bitter garden egg stir and cook for 5mins.

  8. 8

    Enjoy with Tuwon shinkafa, semovita, eba pounded yam etc.
