Patra made from colocasia leaves is a very healthy and light weight snack. It's tangy and crisp.
Steps

Clean and wash colocasia leaves. Cut the stems. Keep the smooth side on top and wipe it dry.

Soak tamrind in water for half an hour and make the pulp out of it.

Make besan/ gram flour batter by adding water, salt, red chillipowder, ginger chilli paste and some corianderleaves to it.

Brush 1 tsp oil on the leaves. Apply tamrind paste to the leaves on the smoother side. Followed by gram flour batter. Roll the leaves into cylindrical shape.

Heat a steamer. Place the patra rolls on it and steam them for 15 minutes.

Remove ghee soft patra rolls from the steamer and cool them

Chop patra rolls into roundels.

Make a seasoning by heating oil and adding mustard seeds, Cummin seeds, hing powder, curry leaves and sesame seeds.

Add patra roundels in the seasoning and mix it lightly. Sprinkle juice of 1 lemon and some coriander leaves. Serve immediately or can be stored in the fridge for 4 to 5 days.
