Ingredients

2 to 3 servings
  • 150 gmsPaneer (cottage cheese)
  • 1 cupMatar (Green peas)
  • 3tomatoes (medium size)
  • 2onions (medium size)
  • 1/2 Tea spoonZeera (cumin seeds)
  • 2 Table spoonCoriander powder
  • 1 Table spoonHaldi powder (Turmeric)
  • 1/4 Tea spoonHing (Asafetida)
  • 1/2 Table spoonRed chili powder
  • 1 Table spoonginger paste
  • 3 Table spoonCashew nut paste

Steps

  1. 1

    Light fry the pieces of paneer on a pan for 3-4 minutes till it turns light brown in color

    Take 2-3 Table spoon of cooking oil in another pan and add zeera till it crackles

    Then add Haldi, Coriander powder, Asafetida & ginger paste

    Fry all the spices for 2-3 minutes and then all onion & tomatoes paste.

    Fry the paste till it starts leaving the oil from side.

    Add the cashew nut paste, a pinch of Garam masala and 1-1/2 cup water

    Then add the pieces of paneer and matar in the gravy and cook for about 7-8 minutes till the first boil.
