1/4 cupsugar
2 tspbaking powere
1/2baking soda
1/2 tspsalt
1/4 cupbutter
1 eachapple
1/2 cupmilk
topping
1 tbspsugar
1/4 tspground cinnamon
1 tbspmilk

preheat oven 220C gas mark 7

mix flour, sugar,baking powder, soda and salt in a large bowl. cut in butter until crumbly

add apple and milk. stir to a soft dough.

turn out on a floured surface. knead gently. cut into shape. place on baking sheet

mix all topping ing together. brush the tops of the scones.

bake for 15 mins
