Ingredients

  1. 1 cupAll purpose flour / maida -
  2. 1 pinchCarom seeds -
  3. 1 pinchOnion seeds -
  4. to tasteSalt -
  5. 2 tbspClarified butter -
  6. Oil - for frying
  7. For stuffing
  8. Boiled and mashed bathua leaves - 500 gms
  9. 2Finely chopped green chilli -
  10. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder -
  11. 1 pinchAsafoetida / hing -
  12. 1 tspGinger paste -
  13. to tasteSalt -

Steps

  1. 1

    Clean and wash bathua leaves.

    Steam in the pressure cooker.

    Once cooled strain and mash it.

  4. 4

    Add salt,green chilli,red chilli powder asafoetida,ginger paste and mix well.

  5. 5

    Now stuffing is ready.

  6. 6

    Take a large bowl add all purpose flour,clarified butter,salt,carom seeds and onion seeds and mix well.

  7. 7

    With the help of water make a soft dough.

  8. 8

    Keep aside for 30 mins.

  9. 9

    Divide the dough into equal size balls.

  10. 10

    Stuff the filling in the dough and roll into balls.

  11. 11

    In a pan heat the oil and add the kachori,lower the heat and fry till light brown.

    Serve hot.
