Cook rice as directed on box

Chop onion however you like, I prefer small pieces. In a large skillet over medium heat saute onions in oil for 2 to 3 minutes, add Hamburger and cook until done, stir occasionally.

In a large bowl whisk together brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar and water until brown sugar is completely dissolved.

Whisk in flour or cornstarch

When hamburger is completely cooked remove any excess fat. Add your rice to skillet and stir in brown sugar, ketchup mixture. Bring to a boil and simmer for several minutes to allow sauce to thicken. When everything starts to stick together it's done season to taste serve and enjoy. Note: the longer you boil the sweeter and sticker the sauce will become.
