Ingredients

Prep time 10 mins/Cook time 10 mins
  • 100 gmsroasted Vermicelli
  • 1 tbspOil
  • 1 tsbpRoasted gram dal
  • 1 tspSesame seeds
  • 1 tspMustard seeds
  • tspTurmeric quarter
  • 2Finely chopped green chillies
  • 1Finely chopped onion
  • 1-2 tspFinely chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Salt as per taste
  • 100-150 mlWarm water

Steps

Prep time 10 mins/Cook time 10 mins
  1. 1

    Take 100 gms of vermicelli and dry roast it on slow flame till golden brown

    Take 1 tbsp of oil in a pan

    Shallow fry 1 tbsp of roasted gram dal on slow flame and remove

    In the same oil add mustard seeds, sesame seeds and let them crackle. Add finely chopped green chillies and onions and a pinch of turmeric and saute.

    Add roasted Vermicelli and mix nicely.

    Add 100 to 150 ml water to the mix and cover for 2 mins.

    After 2 mins uncover the lid and cook till dry. Off the flame and cover again for 2 mins.

    You super tasty full of flavours Vermicelli Upma is ready to serve hot with garnished coriander leaves and scooped out mangoes.
