Ingredients

  1. for Pakwan
  2. 200 gm Maida
  3. 2 spoonsooji
  4. As needed oil to fry
  5. to tastesalt
  6. 1/4 tsp carom seeds
  7. to make Dal
  8. 200 gm Split Bengal gram
  9. 2 tbsp oil/ghee
  10. 2-4green chilli
  11. 1 inchlong piece ginger
  12. 1 pinchasafoetida
  13. 1/2 tsp cumin seed
  14. 1/2 tsp.turmeric powder
  15. To tastesalt
  16. 1/4 tspred chilli powder
  17. as neededwashed nicely chopped coriander
  18. 2-3 onion nicely chopped
  19. 1tomato cut in small pcs
  20. 3--4 tbsptamarind
  21. Soak in water....for 20 minutes

Steps

  1. 1

    To cook Dal
    wash and soak for 30 minutes then rinse water add in cooker
    with 1 cup water,salt, and turmeric powder, give a whistle then 5--7 minutes on slow flame off the gas.

    Take a bowl.....Add Maida., sooji, salt carom seed oil 2 tbs mix nicely make hard dough with warm water keep a side for 10 minutes to set

    Now take the soaked tamarind in a bowl..mash nicely get good pulp.....Now add water salt red chilli powder, cumin seed let boil for 5 to 7 minutes.....keep a side to make cool your chutney is ready......

    Now open the lid of cooker check the Dal.
    make a paste of ginger &chilli add in dal.keep dal on slow flame. if need add water
    Heat a small pan for tempering..
    Add oil..... then cumin seed, asafoetida, and red chilli powder
    add to dal let dal boil for some time 4--6 minutes
    Dal is Ready..... off the flame

    Now to make Pakwan..
    Pakwan dough is ready make balls as u love the size
    Roll it like poori
    keep mark with knife on it so u can fry them in nice crispy
    Deep fry them in oil.......
    Pakwan is ready

    Take Dal in bowl add tamrind chutney on it garnish with chopped onion.and coriander
    Enjoy yummy breakfast DAL--PAKWAN....

    You can enjoy like Pizza also.....with yummy topping choice is yours.....But you have to finish fast.....
