Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoonsParmesan cheese, finely grated
  • 4green onions, finely chopped (or 1/2 onion, chopped)
  • 8 oz.Gruyere cheese, shredded (or cheddar)
  • 4 ozHam, chopped
  • 1/2 cupflour
  • 3/4 tspBaking powder
  • 1/2 tspGround black pepper
  • 1 cupHalf and half
  • 4eggs
  • 2 tablespoonsButter, melted
  • 2 teaspoonsDijon mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoonNutmeg

Steps

    Butter pie plate. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese in to coat

  2. 2

    Toss gruyere, ham and scallions in a bowl, mix with hands until well combined. Dump in pie plate

  3. 3

    Add flour, salt, pepper, baking powder to a bowl. Slowly whisk in half and half, then add eggs and whisk. Add in butter, nutmeg and mustard and mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Dump liquid into pie plate. Put on BOTTOM rack of oven at 350° for 35 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
