Ingredients

25 minutes
6 servings
  • 1 bowlpaste of 2 corn cobs kernals
  • 1 bowlcurd
  • 1/2 bowlrava /sooji
  • 1/2 bowlrolled oats
  • 1/4 bowlbesan
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tspsugar
  • 1/4 tspturmeric/haldi powder
  • Pinchhing
  • Juice of one lemon
  • 1 tbspginger and green chillies paste
  • 1 tspfruit salt
  • 1 tspoil for greasing the tin
  • 1 tbspoil for tempering
  • 1 tsprai/mustured seeds
  • 1-2chopped green chillies
  • 1 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
  • 1 tbspgrated coconut
  • leavesFew chopped curry

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Combine the sweet corn kernels paste curd oats sooji along with salt heeng lemon juice and ginger chilli paste and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste.

  2. 2

    Transfer it to a bowl, add the besan adjust water if needed I did and't and give it rest for 10 mins

  3. 3

    Just before steaming, sprinkle the fruit salt, and 2 tsp of water over it. When the bubbles form, mix gently.

  4. 4

    Pour the batter immediately into a greased thali or pan and tap it to spread the batter in an even layer.

  5. 5

    Steam in a steamer or cooker for 20 to25 minutes or till the dhoklas are cooked.

  6. 6

    Cool slightly, cut into squares pieces

  7. 7

    Heat oil crackle rai add curry leaves and green chillies little fry then pour over dhokla pieces and garnish with coriander and coconut.Serve immediately with green chutney.
