Ingredients

  1. 1Pie Crust
  2. 3 Tbsp.Packed Brown Sugar
  3. 2 Tbsp.Flour
  4. 1 tsp.Apple Pie Spice
  5. 6 CupsPeeled-Thinly Sliced Pears (6 Medium)
  6. 1/2 CupMaple Syrup
  7. 1Egg, Lightly Beaten
  8. 1 Tbsp.Water
  9. Caramel Topping

  1. 1

    Place pie crust into pie dish and preheat oven to 375°F

  2. 2

    In large bowl, stir together brown sugar, flour, and apple pie spice.

  3. 3

    Add pears and toss gently to coat.

  4. 4

    Transfer to pie crust and drizzle with maple syrup.

  5. 5

    Trim pastry even with plate rim, place top crust and crimp edges.

  6. 6

    In small bowl, combine egg and water, brush crust with mixture.

  7. 7

    Tent pie with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

  8. 8

    Remove foil and bake 25-30 minutes or until pears are tender and filling is bubbly.

  9. 9

    Let cool on wire rack and top with caramel topping.
