Ingredients

  1. 250 gspiced ham cubed, cooked
  2. 1 canmushrooms sliced
  3. 3-4 stripsbacon cooked and cut into small strips or bacon bits
  4. 500 gramspasta noodles cooked as per instructions
  5. 5 tablespoonsbutter
  6. 4 tablespoonsall-purpose flour
  7. 4 cupsmilk
  8. 1/2 teaspoonfreshly grated nutmeg
  9. to tastesalt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

    Heat butter over medium-low heat until melted in a saucepan. Add the flour and stir until smooth. Over medium heat, cook until the mixture turns a light, golden sandy color, for about 6 to 7 minutes.

    Meanwhile, heat the milk in a separate pan until just about to boil (low heat as it burns easily). Add the hot milk to the butter mixture 1 cup at a time, whisking continuously until very smooth. Bring to a boil. Cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add cooked ham and mushrooms. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add cooked pasta and cook for another 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Top with bacon bits/cut bacon and serve. Enjoy!
