Ingredients

  1. 500 gramsblack-eyed peas
  2. 2 headslettuce
  3. 7 sprigsdill, finely chopped
  4. 5green onions or 1 regular onion
  5. 1/2 cupolive oil
  6. Salt
  7. Pepper
  8. Juice of 1 lemon

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the black-eyed peas in water overnight to let them swell.

  2. 2

    The next morning, put them in a pot with a little water, bring to a boil 3-4 times, then discard the water.

  3. 3

    In the pot, add the olive oil and lightly sauté the chopped onions. Then add the peas, stir them 2-3 times, add water, and let them boil well.

  4. 4

    Wash and cut the lettuce in half.

  5. 5

    Once the peas are boiled, add the lettuce, dill, salt, and pepper, and let it cook until the lettuce is done.

  6. 6

    Serve the peas on a plate and add the lemon juice.
