3) The first-known printed use of the wors “brownie” to describe a dessert appeared in the 1896 version of the Boston Cooking School Cookbook by Fannie Farmer.

Steps

Mix the dry ingredients. Mix the wet ingredients separately: butter, vanilla essence and milk.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and mix well. Add nuts if required. I did not prefer to add nuts, thus did not add these to my brownie mix. - 2
Pour the mixture in a baking tin and spread the mixture well. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees centigrade for 30-35 minutes. Check if these are done.
For the glaze: Add all the above ingredients and mix. - 3
Apply this glaze evenly to the brownies when warm.
