Ingredients

20 minutes
Serves 3 servin
  • 2 cupsthick variety poha
  • 2 tbspnuts
  • 1 tbspraisins
  • 1 tbspchopped coconut
  • 1 tbspsmall cubed carrots
  • 1small potato
  • 2 tbspchopped cauliflower
  • 1 tbspchopped beans
  • 1 tbsppeas
  • 1big onion chopped
  • 1 tspchopped ginger
  • 1 tbspsugar
  • To tastesalt
  • 2green cardamoms half crushed
  • 2bay leaves
  • 1/2 tspjeera (cumin)seeds
  • 1 tbspghee
  • 2 tbsprefined oil
  • 1/2 tspgaram masala powder
  • 1 tbspchopped coriander
  • 2-3broken green chillies

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash poha. Discard water if any.Smear little salt and sugar and set aside.

  2. 2

    Heat oil and fry the vegetables separately in low flame till soft.Sprinkle jeera and when they splutter,add chopped ginger and 2 crushed cardamoms..Fry lightly then add chopped onion.

  3. 3

    Fry and add green peas and other fried vegetables.Toss and add the poha.Now add salt and sugar to taste.Also add chopped coconut,raisins and fried nuts.Add few bay leaves and broken green chillies.Sprinkle garam masala powder and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
