Black soup

I have heard so much about black soup and I decided to try it and my goodness! My family and I wiped our plates clean😂😂😂. It's origin is Edo but I added my secret ingredient as an original igbo woman😉😃. Note I boiled my palm kernel and extracted the oil but you can also buy the canned one from the market.

Bring to boil your liquid oil extracted from the palm kernel add your ogiri, maggi and salt to taste and leave to boil for 3minutes

Add your stockfish and already cooked assorted meat so they can absorb the rich taste of the palm oil cream.

Blend your ugu, uziza and bitter leaves together. then blend the scent leaves separately.

Add the blended ugu mix and allow to simmer for 3mins. Add your smoked fish stir.

Add the blended scent leave and stir. Bring down your pot.

Serve your black soup with oat meal or Eba.
