Steps

Wash and soak the daal for 30 minutes.

Now boil water and add the soaked daal, with salt and turmeric powder

As the dal is almost half done add the rice and boil.

In a wok heat oil and temper cumin seeds, bay leaf red chilli whole and chopped coconut
- 5
Add ginger paste and saute well adding salt and turmeric powder

Add tomato and cumin coriander powder and mix

Add red chilli Powder and mix

Now add the masala into the pot boiling daal and rice
- 9
Add sugar,coconut and roasted masala powder
- 10
Add ghee and offer it to God along with other offerings
