Ingredients

  • For the dough:
  • 1 cupflour
  • 2 tablespoonrefined oil
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • Water as required
  • For the stuffing(kheersa):
  • 1 cupchana
  • 5 tablespoonkhowa kheer
  • Sugar as required
  • 2 tablespoonmilkmaid
  • For the sugar syrup:
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • 2 pcscardamom
  • For frying:
  • as neededRefined oil
  • For garnishing cherry and pistachios

Steps

  1. 1

    In a pan, take water,sugar and cardamom and boil until it turns into a thick syrup.

    In a bowl,add flour,salt,refined oil and mix it.Add water and make it into a dough. Cover it with a cloth and let it rest for 15 min.

    In a pan, take the chana and add the milkmaid,sugar,khowa kheer and stir it.

  4. 4

    Cook it for few minutes and take it off the flame.

  5. 5

    Let it cool.

    Now,take the dough,divide it into pieces and roll it in round shapes.

  7. 7

    Hold it from the middle and and make some folds just like the image.

    Add the stuffing on one side.

    Take the other side and cover it over the stuffing and seal the sides of the pitha pressing it with the fingers.

    In a heated pan add the refined oil and deep fry the pithas in low flame.

  11. 11

    When it is evenly fried take it out and let it cool down to the room temperature.

    Now,take the pithas and dip it into the sugar syrup.

    Garnish it with cherry and pistachios. The Magic Kheersa Pitha(sweet) is ready!!!
