Ingredients

  1. 2lbs. ground beef
  2. 2 cupschopped onion
  3. 1green pepper
  4. to tastegarlic salt
  5. 3 tsp.chili powder
  6. 1/2 tsp.oregano
  7. 1/4 tsp.red pepper flakes
  8. 1 tbs.sugar
  9. 46 oz.can tomato juice
  10. 1 can (6 Oz.)tomato paste
  11. 2 canskidney beans

Steps

  1. 1

    In Dutch oven over medium heat, sauté beef, stirring occasionally, until done. Pour off fat.

  2. 2

    Add onions, green pepper, garlic salt, chili powder, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook until onion and pepper are tender, about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Stir in sugar, salt, tomato juice, and tomato paste. Mix well. Bring to boiling. Simmer about 40 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add beans and simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
