Matooke, Greens n Stewed 'Smoked Beef' #MyFavEasterDishContest

I love the taste of smoked meats. Anytime I have access to a wood or charcoal fire n have meat, I'll smoke or choma it first.
You may not necessarily want to smoke yours, but maybe you have lots of left over Nyama Choma? Since it never really tastes the same afterwards even if you heat it up again, why not wet fry it?.

Steps

  1. 1

Boil the bananas til done. Set aside.

  2. 2

Fry your skuma n managu. Once cooked, add your fresh cream. Set aside.

  3. 3

If using musherekha, you can fry onions and hoho n tomatoes then add the meat then add musherekha n let it cook over low heat til it softens.

  4. 4

●● Musherekha●● the Word is Luhya in origin. The product is a lye made from bean husks ash. Or banana peels ash. The ash is then used to make a Solution that not only softens food, but helps retain colour and adds flavour to the meals. Search for #Omusherekha to find my Recipe for the same.

  5. 5

If you don't have musherekha, you may want to boil the meat first, just to ensure it softens well. Then fry it up with onions, hoho n tomatoes.

  6. 6

    Once ready, Serve and enjoy!
