Steps

Mix the 2 dal,wash & soak in water for an hour.

Place soaked dal in a pan & mix salt,turmeric powder, ginger & green chillies.

Cover & cook on low heat till the dal tender. Stir well.

Heat ghee & butter in a pan.Add cumin seeds,remaining green chillies. Stir & add onion & saute till onion turns light brown.

Add tomatoes & saute till the tomatoes soften. Add red chilli powder & saute for 1/2 a min.

Add the tempering to the dal & mix.

Simmer for a few min & serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
