Ingredients

  2. 1 1/2 cupmixed dal
  3. to tasteSalt
  4. 1 chopped onions
  5. 1/2tomato chopped
  6. 4 to 5 podsGarlic chopped
  7. 1 inchginger chopped
  8. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  9. 2 cupsWater
  10. fortadka dal
  11. 1 tspGhee or oil
  12. 1 tspCumin seeds
  13. 1 tspGinger chopped
  14. 1 tspGarlic chopped
  15. 1big size onion finely chopped
  16. Pinchhing
  17. 3 green chillies chopped
  18. 50 gmsTomato chopped
  19. 1/2 cupcoconut dry chopped and grinded
  20. 1/2 cupWater
  21. 1 tspRed chilli powder
  22. 1 tspCoriander powder
  23. 1 tspKasuri methi
  24. to tasteSalt
  25. as requiredCoriander leaves chopped
  26. for Tempering:
  27. 2 tspGhee
  28. pinchHing
  29. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  30. 2-3Garlic finely chopped
  31. 1/2tomato chopped
  32. 2Dry red chillies
  33. 1bay leaves
  34. 3long(cloves)
  35. 1/2 tspRed chilli powder

Cooking Instructions

    Soak black rajma,white rajma,kala dal(black lentins(overnight) then rinse the dal. Pressure cooker the soaked dal with turmeric,chopped onion,tomato,salt,ginger,and water. Pressure cooker the dal till 4 whistles till all the rajma is well cooked and become soft and mushy.

    Heat the ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds,bay leaf and let it sizzle,then add red chillies, ginger,Garlic chopped and saute for a min.add onions and saute till it's become light brown. Now add a pinch hing and saute for a min.

    Next add the chopped tomatoes,green chillies, and let it cook for 5 mins.

    Add the grinded coconut paste,dhaniya chopped and mix it properly.

    Now add the water and bring it to a boil. After a min,add all the masala given for tadka red chilli powder,Coriander powder garam masala powder,kasuri methi,Coriander leaves,and salt. Mix it well and cook for a min.Now mix the pressure, cook dal in the tadka masala pan and mix properly. Can add water if required. Cook for sometime and turn off the flame.

    For tempering add 1tsp of ghee,fry 2 red chillies cumin seeds,half tomato chopped,ginger chopped and long(cloves) and fry for a sec and pour the tadka over the the dal mix properly yummy dal rajma curry is ready to served with rice or roti
