Ingredients

15 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1 cupwhite peas /safed vatana / dried white peas,
  2. 3 cupwater
  3. ½ tsp turmeric
  4. 1/2 tspkashmiri red chilli powder / lal mirch powder salt to taste
  5. 4medium sized potato, boiled and peeled
  6. 4 tbsp or ¼ cup thick poha / flattened rice / beaten rice,
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric powder / haldi
  8. ¾ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
  9. To tastesalt
  10. ¼ tsp cumin powder / jeera powder
  11. 1/2 tspchaat masala oil for roasting pattice
  12. 3 tsp green chutney
  13. 3 tspimli chutney
  14. pinchcumin powder / jeera powder
  15. pinchchaat masala
  16. 1/4onion, finely chopped
  17. ¼ tomato, finely chopped
  18. 1 cupsev, or as required few coriander leaves, finely chopped

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly, pressure cook soaked white peas along with water turmeric, chilli powder and salt for 4 whistles. once the pressure releases, mash the peas. keep aside. mash boiled potatoes. additionally, add thick poha, turmeric, chilli powder, cumin powder, chaat masala and salt. combine well and prepare pattice.

    Shallow fry to golden brown and crisp. in a plate pour prepared ragada and place pattice. further pour more ragada and top wit green chutney and tamarind chutney. sprinkle chilli powder, cumin powder, chaat masala and salt.

    Also top with onions, tomato, sev and coriander leaves. finally, serve ragda patties hot along with cutting chai.
